From circle to oval: design of the Atlantis Bracelet from the Atlantis Ring

The main challenge in designing an Atlantis Bracelet is to translate the proportions of the Atlantis Ring, based on sacred geometry, from a circle to an oval. The rings are circles (to understand us, a perfect round), to adapt to the shape of the fingers. Instead, the bracelets are ovals (to understand us, an egg-shaped round), to adapt to the shape of the wrist.

MeriTomasa's Atlantis Bracelet design solution is simple:

• The starting point is the design of an Atlantis Ring, but with much larger dimensions, so that the design maintains the golden ratio, which can be summarized in that the Luxor waveform occupies two fifths of the part and the side holes are located 30 degrees from the posterior perforation.
• We make a cut in the back, so that instead of the back hole of the ring we obtain the opening required by a bracelet to facilitate putting it on and taking it off the wrist.
• Finally, we turn the circle into an oval, so that we maintain the original proportions of the design, but transferring them to the shape that requires the use of a treasure to shine on the wrist.

Basically, that means the Atlantis Bracelet does not respond to 100% of the original Atlantis Ring design. Above all, because the oval shape prevents the two Cheops triangles contained in the original design of the Atlantis Ring from being drawn inside the ring.

The approach on the bracelet is therefore less pure than in the case of the ring. From a sacred geometry point of view, it lacks the perfection of the ring. But that does not take away an iota of its beauty as a top jewelery piece, transferring to the shape of the bracelet the sacred geometry of the Atlante ring design.

In short: it is the ideal complement if you already have your Atlantis Ring :)

Each treasure is handcrafted, with which none of my jewels is perfect in each and every one of its proportions: all have a "defect" of tenths of a millimeter here or there, the result of human imperfections and the warmth of the artisan's hand, just as surely the Atlantis Rings made by the goldsmiths of antiquity had to be imperfect.
