Pilar commissioned me various Atlantis rings, and shortly after she made me two personalized orders: a pendant with an infinite knot and an infinite ring.
Pilar was clear that she wanted her pieces in 18K yellow gold and that the beauty of the designs would not detract from their robustness. We agreed on that from the first moment. At The MeriTomasa's Treasures Factory I don't offer gold rings of those that bend like paper: I offer robust jewelery, with solid precious metals, and of quality, with artisan manufacture to suit each client.
Later, Ángel, who also knew The MeriTomasa's Treasures Factory because he had already bought me a silver Atlantean ring, also commissioned me to make a version of the infinity knot, or "Tibetan knot", also in silver.
This is one of my favorite formulas at The MeriTomasa's Treasures Factory. You design your jewelry. I am your jeweler hands.
The infinity knot is a symbolic knot used in Tibetan Buddhism, and for this reason it is also known as the "Tibetan knot". Also called "srivatsa" in Sanskrit, and "dpal be'u" in Tibetan. It is characterized by the fact that it has no beginning or end, and with that it symbolizes the infinite wisdom of the Buddha, but also the path to reach it.
It is a common motif in Chinese art, where it is part of the eight ashta mangala (the "eight auspicious symbols").
The Tibetan knot is an ancient symbol that represents the interrelationship of the spiritual path, the evolution of time and movement within the eternal. Everything that exists is linked to time and change, to finally rest serenely in a mind free from confusion, which has therefore reached the achievement of the Buddha: the infinite wisdom of him. Hence, the infinite knot is the union of prajñā (wisdom) and upāsana (method).
