When I was little I planted several pine seeds with my fathe . From these a beautiful pine tree was grown, which he carefully cultivated. Over the years it grew and in the same way my interest, my esteem and my satisfaction when I saw it increased.

I also grew and the world was changing. And for years many good things rained, but also some great things took away. And the pine tree, which for me kept the essence of the greatest loss, also suffered the same fate. Due to new urban plans in the city of Manresa and the apparent need of the city council to have more gray and less green areas, they cut it off overnight, without notice or any observation. We find it in the gutter. Since then I kept his log, waiting for the day that the moment arose to make him revive.

In 2011 I decided to make a collection with natural materials. And the pine appeared strongly in my mind. I made some sketches but it didn't take long to work on the material. So in this collection it was the material itself that brought the proposals, marked the path and the shapes for me. A thousand ideas emerged while cutting rounds, discovering veins and fascinated with their knots.

With this collection I enjoyed what I have never seen before, I felt free and alive. It was my first work purely for the love of my discipline and expression through it. With it I started engines and sowed life. A new being was born that now I would cultivate with the most meticulous care, the MeriTomasa's Treasures Factory.
