Prana Ring in sterling silver: handcrafted at The MeriTomasa's Treasures Factory

I like to say that I make my Prana Rings one by one in my workshop, like all the treasures that I offer you in my online store or in my small jewelry store in Manresa (Barcelona), but surely you have heard many times that "a video is better than a thousand blablablas" :-)

Video by Núria Oliveras

What is prana?

A yogi seated in a garden, miniature painting from Northern India, 1620-40.A Yogi Seated in a Garden, North Indian miniature painting, 1620-40.

In Hinduism, prana, praná or prāṇa (pronounced /praná/) is a Sanskrit word that means 'breath' or 'inspired air' and represents the vital force or energy that pervades all things, both living beings and inanimate matter. It appears mentioned for the first time in the Rigveda, the oldest of the four Vedas, from the middle of the 2nd century BC, where it means 'breath' in the sense of 'life'.

In Yoga, the universe is made up of akasa and prana. Akasa is matter and prana is energy, the breath of life, the energy that gives life to matter. The Chinese call it Chi and the Japanese Ki. If you're a Star Wars fan, prana is "the force" :)

And that last meaning is the most widespread. In Yoga, the universe is made up of akasa and prana. Akasa is matter and prana is energy, the breath of life. The energy that gives life to matter. In yoga, prana can be obtained in different ways: it is present in the air we breathe, in the light we see, in the water we drink and in the food we eat, in the land we walk on or in the beauty of the nature that we admire. The Chinese call it Chi and the Japanese Ki. If you're a Star Wars fan, prana is "the force" :)

Just like in Star Wars: prana is obtained by being aware of it, as Obi-Wan Kenobi teaches Luke Skywalker. And that is the path that yoga proposes to us: to be aware of the energy that surrounds us, beginning by controlling our own "prana" (our breathing, our breath of life), thanks to the breathing exercises of the pranayama.

According to the medicine of Ayurveda and Yoga, but also European occultism or modern breathing, meditation and personal growth techniques, prana flows through a network of channels called Nadis, distributed throughout the body, to carry energy to our entire being.

Prana Ring is a ring for meditation, healing and personal growth, based on the study of sacred geometry and the golden ratio and inspired by yoga and other practices of Buddhism and Hinduism. It is very similar to the Atlantean Ring because it is its evolution and its complement.

Sterling silver Prana Ring: a powerful talisman within everyone's reach

The main difference of my Prana Ring with respect to the serial productions that you can find on other websites is the quality and the artisan manufacturing. I only work with noble metals and I make each piece by hand. The result is a unique and quality ring. Stronger and more durable.

The Prana Ring made of sterling silver offers you two great advantages:

  • The most receptive Prana Ring: silver is related to the Moon, or Mother Earth, and the passive energy of femininity and fertility (as opposed to gold, which is related to the Sun and the active energy of nature). The silver version of the Prana Ring is therefore also the most feminine and receptive version, more attentive to letting yourself be fertilized by your environment and giving life like Mother Earth to other versions of you.
  • The most affordable Prana Ring: sterling silver is also the precious metal of reference for jewelery within the reach of all budgets. It is much cheaper than gold, and offers you the possibility of having the Prana Ring design for a price within the reach of all pockets.
Prana Ring by MeriTomasa in two width sizes: from right to left, standard width of 6mm and special width of 8mm.From right to left, standard width of 6mm and special width of 8mm.

In summary: a powerful talisman in sterling silver, within the reach of all budgets and with the authenticity of top-quality handmade jewelry and the guarantee of The MeriTomasa's Treasures Factory.

Standard width of 6mm or special width of 8mm

The standard model of the Prana Ring in silver has a width of 6mm. It is the best-selling model, but sometimes you also ask me for a wider one. That is why I also offer it to you in 8mm. In the photo you can see the Prana Ring with both widths.

The sacred geometry of the ring is applied in its development, along the circle. Therefore, the width does not influence its compliance. That is why I can offer you the Prana Ring in various widths without modifying its perfection from the point of view of the golden ratio and sacred geometry.

Polished finish (if you want it with darkened recesses, tell me in the comments of your shopping cart: there is no added cost).

What is sacred geometry, the golden ratio and the Phi number and how do they apply to the design of the Prana Rings?

The triangle has the same angles as the pyramid of CheopsThe triangle has the same angles as the Cheops pyramid and houses in its center one of the four holes that join the exterior design with the interior lemniscate.
The rectangle that houses the triangle is a golden rectangleThe rectangle that houses the triangle is a golden rectangle, which contains in its interior the beginning and end of the golden spiral and which indicates on its exterior the place where the equilateral pyramids are located.
The holes draw a symmetrical cross and two perpendicular angles: north, south, east and westThe holes draw a symmetrical cross and two perpendicular angles: north, south, east and west. They connect the inner lemniscate with the two Cheops triangles and the two Luxor waveforms.

In the same way that happens with the Atlantean Ring, the Prana Ring is characterized by bringing together in a small treasure the guidelines of sacred geometry and especially that the entire design of the ring is based on the golden section or Phi number. Hence its use as a talisman, amulet or channeler of energy.

Currently, sacred geometry has many applications in practices of meditation, healing and personal growth such as Yoga, closely related to beliefs of Eastern origin such as Buddhism or Hinduism.

Sacred geometry is the branch of mathematics that studies geometric forms related to divinity or, in general, to everything that transcends the physical, such as mysticism or philosophy. Its objective is to unravel the rules of the forms that are present in nature created by the gods (for example, the leaf of a tree) in order to establish a canon of beauty to apply in the design of the works. created by men, from the Egyptian pyramids to the Parthenon in Athens or the European Gothic cathedrals... or the Prana Ring.

One of the most common rules of sacred geometry in all cultures is the number Phi: 1.6180339... The number Phi is also known by many other names: golden number, extreme and average ratio, ratio golden ratio, golden ratio, golden mean, golden ratio and divine proportion. The golden ratio and the golden section are present in all regular or semiregular geometric objects in which there is pentagonal symmetry, pentagons or the square root of five appears in some way.

That is why nothing in the design of the Prana Ring is free: each of its materials and shapes has a reason and a meaning:

  • The Prana Ring is based on the design of the Atlantean Ring, duplicating its Luxor-shaped wave: one in the north, as in the Atlantis Ring, and another in the south. Between the two, two golden rectangles are perfectly located between the equilateral pyramids and house two Cheops triangles inside.
  • The holes draw a symmetrical cross and two perpendicular angles: north, south, east and west. They connect the inner lemniscate with the two Cheops triangles and the two Luxor-shaped waves.
  • The rectangle that houses the triangle is a golden rectangle, which contains in its interior the beginning and end of the golden spiral and which indicates on its exterior the place where the equilateral pyramids are located.
  • The Cheops triangle stands out more at its base than at its top, thus representing the three-dimensionality of the Giza pyramid, but also the golden spiral that concludes at its base.
  • Inside, the lemniscate traces four circles between each hole and therefore the figure of the infinity of infinities: 4 circles - 1 hole - 4 circles - 1 hole - 4 circles - 1 hole - 4 circles - 1 hole. That is, 8 infinities (eight eights). In this way, the lemniscate becomes an infinity through which energy vibrates, the vital breath of Prana, inside the ring.

From the bioenergetic point of view, the so-called Luxor waveform acts as a grid that attracts energy and makes it flow through the holes, to the north and to the south, towards the inner lemniscate, where it multiplies through the infinite infinities and flows out again through the holes contained in the Cheops pyramids. In this way, the ring is itself a bioenergetic circle that attracts and multiplies prana or vital energy.

An Atlantis ring on one hand and a Prana Ring on the other... Thanks Michael!

Many of my treasures are based on a first commission from one of my clients. In this case, it was Michael from Germany. I take this opportunity to thank him for being so insistent on inviting me to explore the design of the Prana Ring and guiding me through it. Michael invited me to explore sacred geometry and the golden ratio to develop the Atlantis Ring until I found my particular version of the Prana Ring, and he advised me on its design and functionality:

  • One of the keys to the Prana Ring is the golden rectangle that houses two pyramids of Cheops. Michael insisted on the proportions that this rectangle should have to accommodate the golden spiral and therefore distribute the successive sections of the Luxor-shaped waves, the pyramids and the rectangles.
My two rings: an Atlantean and a Prana Ring.My two rings, an Atlantis in one hand and a Prana Ring in the other.

He also gave me two tips about its functionality :

  • The first: wear the ring so that the base of the Cheops pyramids are towards the hand, so that they rest (metaphorically) on its base, and not on its top.
  • The second: intensify the effect of the Atlantis Ring and the Prana Ring by wearing them both, each one on the same finger, but from different hands, preferably on the index finger of both hands.

Michael ordered my first Prana Ring from me, but he also insisted that I make one for myself and pair it with the Atlantis that I have been wearing for years on the little finger of my left hand. I half listened to him, because I made a Prana Ring for myself and I wear it on my right little finger (and not both on my index finger, as he recommended), but, as I tell you in this post, I think that each person must find their ideal finger to wear the Atlantis Ring, and therefore also the Prana Ring. You can see the result in the photo: an Atlantean Ring in one hand and a Prana Ring in the other.

By the way: I took the photo on the island of Koh Nang Yuan, in the Mu Ko Chumphon archipelago of Thailand. If you pass near there, it's a must!

Prana Rings FAQ

How long does it take to make it and send it to me?

I make my Prana Rings one by one in my workshop and I have no stock. I need between 7 and 10 days to make your ring and between 1 and 3 days of shipping (Spain). For international shipments it could be a little more.

Are you in a hurry and need it before? Write me and I organize to elaborate it and send it to you as soon as possible.

How can I know the size of my finger?

In my blog I tell you all the tricks to know the size of your ring. Please make sure of your size. If you have a sample ring that fits you, the best solution is to measure it with a caliper. If you don't have a sample ring, my recommendation is that you visit two or three jewelry stores in person to find out the size of the finger where you want to wear it.

What if I make a mistake in size and ask you to change my size?

The Prana Ring cannot be made smaller or larger because it is made following the golden ratio and would be disproportionate. The only option in these cases is that you contact me to return it to me and that I send you a new ring. You can do it within 14 calendar days from when you receive your ring, but you will have to bear the shipping costs to MeriTomasa and return shipping to your address (Spain: €15 return + €10 forwarding; international: €30 return + €20 forwarding), plus 10% of the price of the new ring, with a minimum of €39, and the difference between the price of both sizes (if applicable). Also note that you will have to wait another 10 days to receive your new ring. That is why I highly recommend that you visit one or more jewelry stores to correctly measure your Tatum measurement.

If I don't like it, can I make a return?

No. I work out of stock and I elaborate each one of my Prana Rings on request, customizing the size and materials tailored to each order you make, so that I cannot offer the return option (unless there is a manufacturing error of the jewel by MeriTomasa).

On what finger do I have to put the Atlantis Ring?

My advice is: the Prana Ring is a talisman that helps you find balance first with yourself and then with the environment. Choose the finger where it is most comfortable to wear it. Choose the finger where you want to wear it the most and make it a help to grow as a person. I tell you in detail about another of my rings, the Atlantis Ring, in this post.

About MeriTomasa's Treasures Factory and my Prana Rings collection

MeriTomasa: joyería personalizadaMyself, in my jewelry workshop at The MeriTomasa's Treasures Factory.

I am neither a magician nor a priestess. I am not a specialist in Yolga, Feng Shui, Reiki, dowsing or kinesiology. Neither in Buddhism nor in Hinduism. And I'm also not a specialist in personal growth or channeling positive energies. I'm a jeweler. That is why on my website I speak little about the benefits and uses of the Prana Ring. My mission is not to explain how it is activated or how to use it as an amulet or as an energy channeler. If you have reached this page, perhaps you will know more about it than I do, and in my experience each person expects a different use or benefits from their Prana Ring.

My mission as a jeweler is to offer you a top-quality Prana Ring both in relation to the precious metals that make it and in relation to the design, modeling and finishing process.

On the other hand, it is true that I am very interested in the subject of personal growth and I have taken courses on channeling positive energies, so that both from the point of view of jewelry and from the point of view of personal growth, I have endeavored to document their design and their optimal manufacturing process.

As a jeweler, my mission is to offer you a top-quality Prana Ring both in relation to the metal that forms it and in relation to the design, modeling and finishing process. That is why I join campaigns like Fashion Revolution or I amb proud of being accredited with the craft product (D’A) badge, which proves that my jewels are of my own production and are handcrafted in my workshop, kilometer zero.

The MeriTomasa's Treasures Factory is specialized in custom made jewelry for all tastes and budgets: wedding rings, headbands, earrings, pendants, brooches, bracelets, rings, tiaras... My value proposition is to create quality jewelry, designed and manufactured by hand, with a focus on personalization. That is why I join campaigns like Fashion Revolution or I amb proud of being accredited with the craft product (D'A) distinctive, which certifies that my jewelry is of own production and they are made by hand using the processes of my trade and produced in my workshop in Manresa, kilometer zero. I offer a more intimate, romantic, exclusive and quality jewelry.

Like all my pieces, my Prana Rings collection is designed and made in my workshop in Manresa, near Barcelona, from custom jewelry orders since 2006, so you can boast of wearing a zero kilometer jewel of artisanal manufacturing.

Each ring is handcrafted, with which none of my rings is perfect in each and every one of its proportions: all have a "defect" of tenths of a millimeter here or there, the result of human imperfections and the warmth of the artisan's hand.

Why don't I seal my Prana Rings?

All the jewels that leave the MeriTomasa's Treasures Factory are sealed with my logo. It is my way of guaranteeing with the most precious thing I have, my brand, which is my name, that the treasures you buy at MeriTomasa are made with the precious metals that each piece indicates (sterling silver, 18K gold...) and that they are designed and modeled in my craft workshop. This rule has only two exceptions: my Atlantis Rings and my Prana Rings are the only MeriTomasa's Treasures Factory jewels that I do not sign with my seal. But why?

  • For technical reasons: the Atlantis Ring and the Prana Ring is an artifact calculated to the millimeter, where the different figures and proportions, from the Luxor-shaped Wave to the inner Lemniscate, are articulated forming a complex algorithm of sacred geometry and golden ratio. I do not want to alter those laws with my punch, nor is it placing it in the most discreet corner of the inside of the ring, and that is why I do not sign my pieces.
  • For artisan humility, and because I want to offer you my gift and offer it to the universe. It sounds a little hippie, but I feel it like that. Creating pieces of jewelry is my gift as an artisan, and that gift that has been given to me and allows me to live as a jeweler, I want to return to the world with humility and love for my craft. I sign all my treasures, with the exception of my Atlantis Rings and Prana Rings, and that exception is my way of thanking and being humble, and of returning to the universe how much it has been given to me as a craftswoman of precious metals and magic strawberries and files.

If, despite the above, you want me to seal your Prana Ring with my brand, let me know and I will find a place for you inside the ring. By default they are not sealed, but if you want it with a seal and you ask me explicitly when you order your ring, I add my brand.

And if you like it but would prefer it with some changes... please tell me and we will talk about it :)
