Why buy it at The MeriTomasa's Treasures Factory?

A video is better than a thousand words :-)

Thick, solid and personalized, comfortable and unique. Buying your Unique Ring from The Lord of the Rings at MeriTomasa has 4 advantages:

  • Thick, solid and personalized (each ring measures 7mm wide by 2.7mm thick) and solid (filled with gold, not air). No tricks and no baths. I do not use silver or copper or steel with a gold bath or plating. I also don't make rings with a "cigarette paper" effect: with thick rings that bend at the first blow. And I don't design rings that are hollow inside either: when I say 2.7mm thick, they are solid gold. My treasures are designed to offer you a unique treasure, correctly designed and resistant to the test of time.
  • Comfortable and wearable. Almond designs (half-round both outside and inside), to offer you maximum elegance but also maximum comfort.
  • Made to order: I do not manufacture thousands of kilometers away nor do long production runs to later "personalize" with some small detail. I have my own workshop and I make each ring based on your order. Each ring is truly unique, and not just in name :-)
  • Only from Tatum 18: I do not make them smaller because otherwise not all the inscriptions will fit and I only make unique rings with their complete inscriptions :)

No tricks or baths! Modeled in solid 18-karat gold. I make them myself to order in my own workshop, with an exclusive design faithful to the original by J.R.R. Tolkien and 100% handmade manufacturing

No tricks or baths! If you have looked online it is very possible that you have found it cheaper: you may have seen rings made with other metals (such as stainless steel, copper or silver) and perhaps with a bath or plating of gold, or gold rings that are not solid (with designs optimized so that the ring is hollow inside, to save precious metal) or thick look-me-don't-touch-me, "cigarette paper" type, where the slightest bump It will mean that your ring becomes deformed.

The main difference of my Unique Rings from The Lord of the Rings compared to the serial productions that you can find on other websites is the quality and the handmade manufacturing. I only work with 18 karat gold. And I make each piece by hand. The result is a unique, quality ring. Stronger and more durable. More personalized and more exclusive.

Who created the One Ring and for what purpose?

Inscription of the Unique Ring from The Lord of the Rings "One Ring to rule them all, one Ring to find them, one Ring to draw them all and bind them in darkness," written in the Elvish language in J.R.R.'s handwriting. Tolkien, in one of the few illustrations of the first edition of The Lord of the Rings.

The One Ring was created by Sauron, a powerful Maia who became the lieutenant of Morgoth, the main evil of J.R.R. Tolkien's legendarium. The creation of the Ring took place in an effort by Sauron to consolidate his rule over Middle-earth and exert control over the other Rings of Power that he had previously forged.

Sauron forged the One Ring on Mount Doom, using his skill in blacksmithing and his great knowledge of magic. On it he inscribed the following inscription in the Elvish language, which translates as "One Ring to rule them all, one Ring to find them, one Ring to draw them all and bind them in darkness in the Land of Mordor where the Shadows spread." This inscription reveals the three main purposes of the Ring:

  1. Rule: The Ring grants its wearer the power to control and dominate the bearers of the other Rings of Power. The Three Elven Rings, the Seven Rings of the Dwarves, and the Nine Rings of Men all fall under Sauron's dominion if he recovers the One Ring.

  2. Find: The Ring has the ability to attract the other Rings to itself, making it easier for Sauron to recover.

  3. Binding: The Ring has the power to corrupt and enslave its wearer, making him serve Sauron's purposes. The longer someone possesses it, the harder it is for them to resist its influence.

The One Ring becomes an essential tool in Sauron's quest for power and dominance. Its creation and use sparked much of the history of Middle-earth, as it led to the formation of the Alliance against Sauron and the conflict recounted in "The Lord of the Rings." The main story of the trilogy revolves around the efforts of Frodo Baggins and his company to destroy the Ring and prevent Sauron from recovering it, ending the threat of it.

How did Sauron lose his ring?

Inscription of the One Ring from The Lord of the Rings Sauron's all-seeing eye, with Mount Doom on the horizon, in one of the most famous frames from Peter Jackson's films.

Sauron lost the One Ring during the War of the Last Alliance, a conflict that took place at the end of the Second Age of Middle-earth. The Last Alliance was a coalition of elves and men who came together to confront Sauron and his forces in an attempt to defeat him and end his rule in Middle-earth.

Isildur could have destroyed the One Ring after cutting off Sauron's finger, but instead of destroying it on Mount Doom, he kept it. It was his big mistake.

The final battle of the War of the Last Alliance took place on the plains of Dagorlad, just outside the gates of Mordor, where Sauron had established his stronghold. During the battle, the elven king Gil-galad and the human king Elendil led their armies against Sauron. Sauron, who was extremely powerful at the time and was personally fighting in the battle, killed both kings.

However, both Gil-galad and Elendil, with the help of Isildur (Elendil's son), managed to overthrow Sauron. At his fall, Sauron was defeated and lost the finger on which he wore the One Ring. The Ring was cut from his hand and left in the hands of Isildur, who claimed it as a war trophy. That was his big mistake.

Isildur could have destroyed the One Ring at that time, but instead, he kept it. It was a catastrophic mistake, as the One Ring exerted a corrupting influence on those who possessed it, ultimately leading to the corruption and downfall of Isildur. The Ring would be lost for centuries until it was found by Gollum and finally came into the hands of Bilbo Baggins, and there begins the story of "The Lord of the Rings."

What are the powers of the One Ring?

J.R.R. Tolkien J.R.R. Tolkien was a little bit of everything: British writer, poet, philologist, linguist and university professor, born in South Africa, but above all he is known as the author of the novels The Hobbit, The Silmarillion and The Lord of the Rings.

The One Ring from "The Lord of the Rings" has several special powers and abilities:

  1. Control over the Rings of Power: The One Ring grants its wearer control over the other Rings of Power, including the Three Elven Rings, the Seven Rings of the Dwarves, and the Nine Rings Men's. This allows Sauron to dominate and corrupt the bearers of these rings, turning them into slaves to his will.

  2. Invisibility: When wearing the One Ring, the wearer becomes invisible to normal eyes. This is due to the Ring's ability to "displace" the user into the wraith or spectral world, making them invisible in the physical world.

  3. Power and Longevity: The Ring can grant power and longevity to its wearer, although this power is deceptive and carries a corrupting charge. Bearers of the Ring can become more powerful, but at the cost of their own soul and morality.

  4. Mental influence: the Ring exerts a mental influence on its wearer, feeding his desires and weaknesses. This makes it extremely difficult to resist his power and calling.

  5. Attraction to Sauron: The Ring has the ability to "call" Sauron, meaning that it acts as a magical compass indicating the direction in which Sauron is located. This makes it easier for Sauron to track the Ring if someone is wearing it.

  6. Corruption and desire for power: The Ring fosters the desire for power and dominance in its wearer, which often leads to evil acts and the search for control and power over others.

  7. Sauron's Vulnerability: The One Ring is linked to Sauron's existence in such a way that if the Ring is destroyed, Sauron will lose much of its power and will be weakened.

These powers make the One Ring a key piece in the plot of "The Lord of the Rings" and an object of great importance in the fight against Sauron and the darkness that threatens Middle Earth. The journey to destroy the Ring is the center of the story, as its corrupting powers and influence on the characters are a recurring theme throughout the work.

Frequently Asked Questions about the One Ring

How long does it take you to make it and send it to me?

I make my rings one by one in my workshop and I don't have stock. I need between 7 and 10 business days to make your ring and between 1 and 3 days for shipping (Spain). For international shipments, between 2 and 6 days. Are you in a hurry and need it sooner? Write to me and I will organize to prepare it and send it to you as soon as possible.

How can I know my finger size?

In my blog I tell you all the tricks to know the Tatum measurement of your ring. Please make sure of your size. If you have a sample ring that fits well, the best solution is to measure it with a caliper. If you don't have a sample ring, my recommendation is that you visit two or three jewelry stores in person to find out the Tatum measurement of the finger where you want to wear it.

What if I make the wrong size and ask you to change the size?

The One Ring cannot be made smaller or larger because the inner and outer inscription in the Elvish language would be disproportionate or partly lost. The only option in these cases is for you to contact me to return it to me and for me to send you a new ring. You can do so within 14 calendar days from when you receive your ring, but you will have to bear the costs of shipping to MeriTomasa and reshipping back to your address (Spain: €15 return + €10 reshipment; international: €30 return + 20 € reshipment), plus 10% of the price of the new ring, with a minimum of €39, and the difference between the price of both sizes (if applicable). Also keep in mind that you will have to wait another 10 days to receive your new ring. That is why I highly recommend that you visit one or several jewelry stores to correctly measure your Tatum measurement.

If I don't like it, can I make a return?

No. I work out of stock and make each of my rings to order, customizing the size and materials to suit each order you make, so I cannot offer the return option (unless there is an error in the manufacturing of the jewel). by MeriTomasa).
