No tricks or baths! If you have taken a look on the Internet, it is very possible that you have found it cheaper: you may have seen tricolor rings made with other metals (such as stainless steel, copper or silver) and perhaps with a bath or gold plating, either tricolor gold rings that are not solid (with optimized designs so that the ring is hollow inside, to save precious metal) or very very thin thick, type "cigarette paper", where the slightest blow will imply that your ring is deformed.

The main difference of my Tricolor Gold rings with respect to the serial productions that you can find on other websites is the quality and the artisan manufacturing. I only work with 18K gold. Where do the three golds come from: yellow, white and rose? And what do they mean?

Surely you have seen in a lot of movies or series the typical "gold nuggets" that miners look for in the mountains or in the rivers. And surely you know that those "gold nuggets" are yellow. So... where does the "rose gold" or "white gold" that we use in jewelry come from?

• 18K yellow gold contains 750 thousandths of pure gold, 125 thousandths of pure silver and 125 thousandths of pure copper per gram. In this way, we maintain the natural yellow of gold. Culturally, yellow gold is related to the Sun, God or the active energy of Mother Nature. It is the radiant metal of reference to boast exclusivity and power, from ancient Egypt to the pre-Columbian cultures of Latin America.
• 18K rose gold contains 750 thousandths of pure gold, 50 thousandths of pure silver and 200 thousandths of pure copper per gram. That is why "rose gold" is not yellow, because when we add more copper, we make it red. It is the favorite metal of the goddess Venus, symbol of love and eroticism, and the magic metal of alchemists, sorcerers and druids.
• 18K white gold contains 750 thousandths of pure gold, and 250 thousandths of another white metal per gram. And why don't I offer them to you in silver with a yellow gold bath and another rose gold bath?

Surely on the Internet you will find the option to buy your Tricolor ring in silver: a silver ring, another silver ring with a yellow gold bath and another silver ring with a rose gold bath. I do not recommend this option: the baths can be rubbed off and this jewel is characterized precisely because the three rings rub against each other, so that it is very possible that the baths are lost quickly.

Why then can I find these rings in silver or other metals in many Internet stores? Because making them with just a gold plating makes the cost much cheaper and allows them to be offered at much more attractive prices. However, as a jeweler, I do not recommend that option because the friction between the different rings will tarnish your treasure sooner than later..

Based on the traditional Russian wedding ring or Russian Ring: the history of the Tricolor Gold ring

The Holy Trinity, according to Fridolin Leiber (1853–1912) is an atypical representation, with the Son identified by a lamb, the Father by an Eye of Providence and the Holy Spirit by a dove.

The Trinity (1411 or 1425-27), by Andrei Rublev, represents in Russian culture the embodiment of spiritual unity, peace, harmony, mutual love and humility.

The combination of the three golds, yellow, rose and white, is an innovation of wedding culture in tsarist Russia in the 19th century. Surely you have read or seen works such as Anna Karenina or War and Peace, by Lev Tolstoi, and can you imagine that splendor of the palaces of the Russian empire of the tsars before the Bolshevik revolution of 1917. The Tricolor Gold Ring is based on the Russian Ring, the traditional Russian wedding ring, which consists precisely of three interlocking rings of yellow, white and pink gold.

There are various explanations for the meaning of the Russian Ring:

• The Holy Trinity. God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The three golds of the Russian Ring are a representation of the Holy Trinity of the Russian Orthodox Christian religion and, in general, of Christianity. The metaphor is perfect: none of the three golds is the other, and the three golds together are gold. In the same way: neither the Father is the Son, nor the Son the Father, nor are both the Holy Spirit, and God is the union of all of them. Thus, the three different golds form by intertwining that union that, according to Russian culture, blesses the marriage and augurs the greatest of happiness.
• Sum of virtues. Another explanation argues that the Russian Ring is the sum of the three virtues of marriage. Yellow gold provides the strength that marriage requires to overcome the difficulties you will encounter on your way. White gold brings intelligence and wisdom to unite both destinations in harmony. Rose gold brings true love and that little point of sensuality that makes the flame burn that will guide marriage.
• True love and mutual commitment. The three intertwined bands signify the past, present and future of the couple. And therefore they imply, by wearing it on the right hand or neck, a mutual oath of fidelity. "For then, for now, forever".

The Tricolor Gold Ring is based on the Russian Ring, the traditional wedding ring in Russian culture, consisting precisely of three interlocking rings of yellow, white and rose gold, often personalized with inscriptions.

It is also typical that couples who use the Russian Ring as wedding bands personalize it with inscriptions to include special messages that represent the union between the bride and the groom, and that both she and he wear it either in the right hand or else as a necklace.

The introduction in Europe of the Russian Ring was carried out by the French jeweler Cartier, who made a three-ring ring in 1925 based on this typical Russian wedding ring at the request of his friend the poet Jean Cocteau. Cocteau gave it to his lover, Raymond Radiguet, and also to the Russian princess Natalia Paley, with whom he had an affair. Many years later, in 1998, the Cartier brand christened the ring Trinity, thus recognizing even more clearly that the jewel is inspired by the Russian Ring.

Will I be able to change the three order rings?

Yes. With care it is easy to reorder them as you like best.

Can I unlink them to wear them separately?

No. The objective of this design is that I loop them in the workshop just before soldering the rings. You will not be able to separate them and therefore you will not be able to wear them separately. If what you want are three rings in three golds to wear them together or separately, contact me and we'll talk about it.

How long does it take to make it and send it to me?

I make my Tricolor Gold Rings one by one in my workshop and I have no stock. I need 7 days to make your ring and between 1 and 3 days of shipping (Spain). For international shipments it could be a little more.

Are you in a hurry and need it before? Write me and I organize to elaborate it and send it to you as soon as possible.

How can I know the size of my finger?

In my blog I tell you all the tricks to know the Tatum size of your ring, but the best option is to go to a jewelry store where you can be measured with a ring sizer in a moment. You can go to a small neighborhood jewelry store if you have the confidence to be measured. If you think they can get angry asking them to measure you to buy somewhere else, the solution is to go to a shopping center. There you will find many franchised jewelers with very nice shop assistants who do not take two minutes to take your measurements. Better if instead of in a jewelry store you do it in two: this way you will be more sure of your Tatum size.

What if I make a mistake in size and ask you to change my size?

The only option in these cases is that you contact me to return it to me and that I can adjust it. You can do it within 14 calendar days from when you receive your ring, but you will have to bear the shipping costs to MeriTomasa and return shipping to your address, plus 10% of the price of the new ring and the difference between the price of both sizes (if applicable). Also note that you will have to wait another 10 days to receive your new ring. That is why I highly recommend that you visit one or more jewelry stores to correctly measure your Tatum measurement.

If I don't like it, can I make a return?

No. I work out of stock and I elaborate each one of my Tricolor Gold Rings on request, customizing the size and materials tailored to each order you make, so that I cannot offer the return option (unless there is a manufacturing error of the jewel by MeriTomasa).
